AX Cleaner

Acidic based, antique finish treatment for marble and natural stone

General properties

AX CLEANER is a concentrated, heavy duty acidic based detergent formulated to supply a weathered or a antique type finish to textured, honed, tumbled and sandblasted marble, granite and natural stone, leaving the stone surface completely clean and uniform for a future wet look treatment or wax application. AX CLEANER can be diluted in water, depending on the antique effect required, dissolving quickly and in a uniform way all production residues from the stones surface, improving the natural colours and texture of the stone without leaving any surface shadows or marks. Not to be used on polished surfaces.

Directions for use

Before proceeding with application, to avoid damages from accidental spills or vapours, remove all removable objects from job site, protect or tape all nearby wall surfaces and surroundings such as; glass, metal or aluminium taps, window frames/ledges, plants or vegetation. Allow adequate ventilation. For external applications divert pedestrians, vehicles or other properties.Flood the stones surface with abundant water. Apply the prepared solution of AX CLEANER evenly on the stone to be treated, allowing a contact time of 2/3 minutes. Proceed to scrub the surface using scrubber and bristles. Rinse the surface with abundant water and neutraliser (RUST OFF) diluted in accordance with label, making sure to eliminate completely any acid residues. Ensure that tiles, adhesive beds and grouts are completely dry before sealing (10-15 days).


For most applications, use AX CLEANER diluted at a ratio of 1/5 with water. For difficult or stubborn areas use the product pure.

Where to apply

The product is highly recommended for antique finish on honed, tumbled, sandblasted, marble, granite, natural stone and cobblestone.

Indicative coverage applying one coat of the product on most materials is 6-10 m² / lt. (70-110 sq.ft. / lt.)
